Creating Online Courses is the reason that I even have an online business.
Creating Online Courses meant I could reach a market of people that I could HELP. People who wanted to also create their own Online Courses versus pay someone else to do it for them.
I now have created several courses and I truly enjoyed creating them and love to refine them and continue to sell them.
So, how did I do it? How did I create an online course from scratch? How did I use my Online Course Creation to build an entire online business?

Here is how to create an Online Course from start to finish:
How to create an Online Course
I ended up leaving behind my near six figure network marketing business because I saw the LIGHT with online courses. Creating an online course will help you stop trading your time for money, it will help you feel fulfilled in what you GET to do online and it will set you up to build a BIG online business that lasts.
I got really tired of waking up at the beginning of each month just to start over with trying to hit rank in my network marketing business.
It felt like I could never take time off and I knew that the harder I worked, the more success I would see... which meant that the longer I worked, the more success I'd see. And I just got really fed up with that... it was like I entered, yet again, another never-ending hamster wheel.
Here's the thing, I started off with creating courses in several different niches - from fitness, to wealth expansion, to cycle syncing, to nutrition... I loved ALL OF THEM. But what lights me up the MOST, is teaching others how to make money creating courses that they absolutely adore.
Let's dive in, shall we?!
1. WHAT IS THE DESIRED OUTCOME?
This is something I wish I had mastered earlier on. I know for a fact that once you can grasp this piece, the rest falls into place.
What is life going to be like for your student(s) after they complete your course? In other words, what is the A destination and then what is the Z destination?
Where are they before they find you and where will they be after? We are going to use this "dream destination" ALL OVER your sales copy, email copy, social media content and more.

2. WHAT IS YOUR FRAMEWORK DIFFERENTIATOR?
Now that you have declared the desired outcome, grab your notebook and write down every single thing that you would teach someone on their way to the outcome. Consider this a scattered brain dump, it doesn't have to make sense. If it comes into your mind, write it down.
Once you have everything written down, then you start to organize. You will organize by milestone.
For example, elementary - middle - high school. Those are "milestones" instead of saying 6th, 7th and 8th grade each time you mention middle school.
Once you organize a bit, trim off the fat. Ask yourself; "is this necessary to include inside my online course to get my student to where they need to be?"
Remember, your online course isn't a library full of information - it's a transformation. Thus, you don't need extra fluff. Include what is MOST necessary to get your student to the desired outcome and leave out the rest. If you feel like there is a section that is "nice to have" but not "need to have" but also not "delete worthy"... make it a bonus!
3. Who are you helping?
I heard this quote once and it really stuck with me, it went; if you market to everyone, you market to no one.
For those of us that are new to the whole online business and marketing thing, we default to wanting to try and help everyone. We think if we make it applicable to most, that we will get more sales. WRONG!
Let's see if this helps - 9 out of 10 people that create online courses or digital offers are usually helping an old version of themselves. So, think about your "end result" that you want to provide... WHO NEEDS THAT END RESULT?
How can you get so specific about your ideal student that if you were to pretend to be THEM and read your sales page, you would be left thinking "this is for me"!
4. GET TO WORK
Now, it's time to build your course. I loooooooove google drive to organize everything for my online courses. I use the folders, the documents, the sheets... I use it all. I'd rather keep everything in google drive instead of using the platform itself to draft out my course because then I also have all of my content backed up.
I go in this order; brain dump, create an outline, refine my outline, create any extras (worksheets, workbooks, etc), add any homework or assignments, build out a slideshow (if necessary) and THEN record.
Here is the thing - I am all about doing more with less. In fact, it's like a motto for me. When it comes to "recording" for my course content, I keep it so simple you probably won't even believe it.
I use zoom.
There, I said it. I don't have a fancy camera, I don't have a fancy third party platform that you have never heard of... it's just simple trustworthy zoom.
5. WHERE WILL YOU HOST YOUR COURSE?
This can be one of the most overwhelming decisions of all time. Literally, if you feel complete overwhelm by this choice, you are not being dramatic.
I've tried SO MANY platforms for my online business and I always come back to ONE.
I could tell you all the reasons that I use this platform but here's what you need to know - it's a one-stop shop.
This is a "newer" platform but I've used it for a couple of years and besides having everything I need in one place, I love that they have a facebook group where you can ask ANYTHING and they answer immediately.
It's called ATTRACTWELL (I am an affiliate and this is my special link - if you choose ATTRACTWELL, you could become an affiliate too!)
If I wasn't using Attractwell, then I'd need several other platforms that I could link together to make this business work, and that felt like too much for me!
There will be a learning curve with any new platform, but to me, Attractwell made the most sense.
